I came across this photo in my phone and couldn’t stop laughing at how nervous I was that day. This photo was taken several months ago and I vividly remember snap-chatting this photo to two friends while on my way to my first Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meeting (IEPs are personalized education plans created by school personnel and parents for students with special needs). Guys, I was shook. At the same time though, I was super excited. As I reflect back, I realize how that experience and countless others to date have been necessary for my growth. It’s often said that the experiences that terrify us or stress us out the most, are the ones most necessary in becoming the best versions of ourselves. I personally think that this is true. Yes, sometimes work will suck, but for the most part, are these scary and stressful work experiences really all that bad? Or are they helping us to grow and to at least figure out what it is that we want? Ultimately, I realize that these scary experiences are a good thing and that I am blessed (😎). I digress ☺️ – the bottom line is never stop re-assessing and examining your goals and always keep striving to become your best version.
