Visiting my godmother in Milan is always a blast. She’s fun, funny, fabulous and has the biggest heart. My sister and I had an amazing time with her. Since it was my sister’s first time visiting the city, we decided to spend an afternoon showing her around. In front of one of the entrances to Via Monte Napoleone. This street is located in Milan’s fashion district. You’ll find all of the major fashion houses here (i.e. Gucci, Chanel, Prada).Via Monte NapoleoneOne of my favorite things to do while in Milan is to visit the flea market located on Viale Papiniano. You’ll find beautiful shoes, clothes, vintage bags, jewelry, and fine china. They also have the cutest fruit and flower stands. I took the Milan metro for the first time and I was pretty surprised when I discovered that one of the stations is named Zara.
The Beautiful Duomo of Milan
Inside Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. This beautiful shopping center is in between the Duomo and Teatro alla Scala. It is one of the oldest shopping malls in the world. Construction began here in 1865 and it was completed in 1877.This photo was also taken inside Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Legend has it that if you step in the hole and spin around, you’ll have good luck.
Milano Centrale Railway Station (you can take trains from here that will take you all over Italy)The entrance to Corso Como. There are so many delicious restaurants here. This area is also great for shopping.
I’ll be sharing photos from my trip to Cinque Terre this week on Instagram. Stay tuned and thank you for following along!
